Cities have primarily been historically shaped by spaces for vehicle traffic. Through modern mobility concepts, city centers are increasingly being transformed into living spaces for citizens. Green areas, parks, and green pedestrian zones enhance the quality of life in a city and invite people to spend time there. This is also the aim of our tree planting systems and capillary plant towers. Now, with GreenTainers, we take the next step:
Mobile Green Concepts
Over the decades, plant pots have evolved with new trends. From stainless steel containers to painted variants and even covered containers. However, the requirements for root growth, water needs, and nutrient supply have often been overlooked.
With our GreenTainer Typ-Retro design line, we address the plant's need for structurally stable substrates, good ventilation, and optimal water storage, implementing these through a well-thought-out system.
To ensure the mobility of the containers, they are delivered as standard with 100 mm high feet. The material, galvanized construction steel, in a proven industrial design, stands out due to its durability and decades of use in the construction industry. With 3 mm steel thickness, it resists vandalism. Rounded corners and edges contribute to the demand for injury-safe designs.
The elements are equipped with a special irrigation solution and are available with the appropriate substrate. The high water storage capacity ensures excellent buffering of the water balance, reducing water stress for the plants.
The ventilation of the wall construction reduces the heating of the plant pot and decreases evaporation. The plant pot is permanently frost-resistant, and all system components are root-resistant.
No "mobile green" without appealing planting. Mobile greenery brings an attractive selection of plants to a small space. Growth forms, flower colors, and leaf shapes need to harmonize closely. Seasonal themed plantings and seasonal flower changes offer a diverse design in public spaces. Small-crowned trees, shrubs, or fir trees (with root balls) can also be used in the "mobile green."
