GROWtect PflanzVital Retentis®

is an organic-mineral NPK fertilizer (4.5-6-3+2MgO) specially developed for planting trees, shrubs, perennials, ground covers, and for the restoration of old trees. Its balanced composition ensures both rapid nutrient supply and long-term soil improvement.

The combination of organic and mineral components, including Retentis® water storage (from wood), biochar, bentonite, rock dust, perlite, and mycorrhiza, optimizes soil structure and increases water retention capacity. This contributes to better plant establishment and higher drought stress tolerance. At the same time, microbial decomposition of the organic material promotes soil biology.

Properties and mode of action

Nutrient release: Most nitrogen becomes available to plants within the first growing season. The remaining portion is gradually released over several years through microbial processes. Phosphate and potassium are fully available to plants.

Soil structure and water balance: The included components enhance soil aggregate stability and increase water-holding capacity. The use of Retentis® helps reduce evaporation losses and lowers irrigation requirements.

Humus formation: The gradual decomposition of organic components leads to a long-term increase in humus content and sustainably supports soil life.

Improved root development: The contained biochar and mycorrhizal fungi act as root attractants, promote symbiosis between roots and microorganisms, and improve nutrient uptake.

Spread evenly and work thoroughly into the root zone. Water thoroughly after planting. Do not leave any residues on the surface.
