GROWtect PflanzVital Retentis

GROWtect PflanzVital Retentis® is an organic-mineral NPK fertilizer (4.5-6-3+2MgO), specifically designed for planting trees, shrubs, perennials, ground covers, and for the renovation of old trees. Its balanced composition ensures both rapid nutrient supply and long-term soil improvement.

The combination of organic and mineral components, including Retentis® water reservoir (from wood), biochar, bentonite, rock flour, perlite, and mycorrhiza, optimizes soil structure and increases water retention capacity. This contributes to improved establishment of plants and higher drought stress tolerance. At the same time, the microbial decomposition of the organic material promotes soil biology.

Properties and Function

Nutrient release: A large portion of the nitrogen becomes plant-available within the first growing season. The remaining portion is gradually released through microbial processes over several years. Phosphorus and potassium are fully plant-available.

Soil structure and water balance

The included components promote the aggregate stability of the soil and increase its water-holding capacity. The use of Retentis® helps reduce evaporation losses and decreases irrigation requirements.

Humus formation

The gradual decomposition of organic components increases the humus content in the long term and sustainably supports soil life.

Improvement of root development

The biochar and mycorrhiza fungi act as root attractants, promoting the symbiosis between roots and microorganisms and improving nutrient uptake.
