Tree protection guards play a vital role in safeguarding newly planted and mature trees in our cities and communities. They encircle a significant portion of the trunk area, providing reliable protection against damage while taking up minimal space. In addition to their functionality, the new GEFA tree protection guards impress with innovative design and top-quality craftsmanship.
GEFA tree protection guards can be installed with or without GEFA tree protection grates. All necessary mounting materials are included. Each guard is made of multi-part welded steel elements and hot-dip galvanized in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1461 standards. These guards reliably protect a large portion of the trunk area from damage without occupying excessive space.

HUMBERG tree protection grates stand out through high-quality workmanship and contemporary design. They provide reliable trunk protection while blending harmoniously into urban environments. The grates consist of multi-part welded steel elements, are hot-dip galvanized in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1461, and additionally powder-coated.
In urban environments, a key prerequisite for healthy tree growth—alongside sufficient water and oxygen supply—is preventing soil compaction and redirecting pressure away from the root area. Tree protection grates safeguard the sensitive root ball area around the trunk from soil compaction and damage. GEFA tree protection grate complete systems are laser-cut from hot-dip galvanized steel. These systems are multi-part and include a laser-cut steel disc with a welded support structure, fastening materials, and substructure.
As complete systems, they can be seamlessly integrated into the TreeParker root management system.

The fillable tree protection grate is now available (from 1.25 m x 1.25 m). It can be filled with any type of covering (e.g., gravel, paving slabs, cobblestones, or bound gravel surfaces). Made of steel, the grate is 99% recyclable.

Tree base enclosures create a clean finish in paved areas or tree grates. Thanks to removable elements, young trees have sufficient space to grow, while the surface remains safe to walk on at all times. The narrow opening around the trunk prevents dirt and weeds from entering and reduces maintenance effort.
Function
The tree base enclosures consist of several steel elements and are individually adapted to the respective installation situation. For example, if the tree is not positioned centrally in the planting pit, the enclosure can be adjusted accordingly. Made of steel and powder-coated, they are available in various RAL colours, sizes and designs. The coating of the individual elements is matched to the surrounding surface finishes and allows for a wide range of design possibilities.

The Humberg root bridge protects the sensitive root zone from harmful soil compaction while maintaining a fully usable surface – ideal for projects where the TreeParker® system cannot be used.
Thanks to the flexible positioning of the HUNO® screw foundations, installation is particularly gentle without affecting the root system. Precisely adjustable flange plates allow millimetre-accurate height and slope adjustment and adapt optimally to local conditions.
The combination of hot-dip galvanised steel according to DIN EN ISO 1461 and a modular design guarantees maximum stability, durability and adaptability – with dynamic wheel loads of up to 100 kN. The integrated gas exchange via the HUNO® air cap ensures healthy, species-appropriate root growth even under unfavourable soil conditions. This keeps surfaces intact in the long term and allows the area to be used safely and permanently.
The HUMBERG root bridge is ideal for plazas or traffic areas where maximum use of space up to the tree is desired. It protects existing trees in paved or otherwise sealed areas – such as pedestrian zones, parks or paths with water-bound surfaces. Particularly recommended for projects where the TreeParker® system cannot be used – as a reliable alternative with direct expert support.
