Humic substances are considered almost all-rounders among soil conditioners and perform much more than just serving as a pure nutrient reservoir. PERLHUMUS® and POWHUMUS are among the most effective and high-quality products in this area. PERLHUMUS® is the specialist with long-term effects. With POWHUMUS, successes can be achieved in a short time.
HUMIC SUBSTANCES, ALL-ROUNDER AMONG SOIL CONDITIONERS
Humic substances are true all-rounders among soil conditioners, offering far more than just the storage of nutrients. PERLHUMUS® and POWHUMUS are among the most effective and high-quality products in this area. PERLHUMUS® is distinguished by its long-term effects, while POWHUMUS delivers rapid results. Combinations with mycorrhiza and STOCKOSORB® are particularly successful in tree restoration.
FORMATION
Humic substances are found in all soils and waters. They are derived from plant decomposition products and can be broken down into humin, humic acid, fulvic acid, and ulmic acid through extraction. Their salts are called humates, fulvates, and ulmates. Humic acid forms the main fraction and is the biological center of humus.
In principle, the use of humic substances has an extremely positive impact on our soils. Issues such as salinization, alkalization, decreased soil fertility, destruction of beneficial microorganisms, increased erosion, the rise of plant diseases, and the accumulation of toxic residues in the soil can be minimized by PERLHUMUS® and POWHUMUS.
The highly efficient PERLHUMUS® and the water-soluble concentrate POWHUMUS are derived from leonardite, a soft brown coal with up to 85% humic acid content. The contained humic acids are barely further decomposed in the soil, ensuring a permanent humus supply. This can also be used to direct roots in specific directions and even deep into the soil.
As a 100% organic soil additive, PERLHUMUS® is particularly distinguished by its high cation exchange and pH buffering capacity. This leads to the proven positive effects on plant growth, health, and improved resistance to stress factors. PERLHUMUS® is very active and can be easily absorbed by the roots. The high carbon content promotes beneficial soil organisms.
Humus-poor sandy soils cannot retain nutrients. Humic acid envelops the sand particles, increases the cation exchange capacity, and retains nutrients in a form available to plants.
EFFECTS ON DIFFERENT SOILS
Compacted clay soil: Loosens and improves structure
Alkaline soil: Buffers high pH, unlocks nutrients, making them available to plants
Salty soil: Breaks down salts, rendering them harmless
Soil enriched with biocides: Immobilizes harmful residues

POWHUMUS
POWHUMUS
OUTSTANDING PROPERTIES
POWHUMUS is a bioactive growth promoter and soil improver with an 85% concentration of humic acids, especially suitable for sandy and loamy soils. In finely granulated, crystalline form, it is easy to transport. As POWHUMUS is 100% water-soluble and works both in the soil and through foliar application, already planted areas can be easily supplied. Nurseries can also benefit from these advantages.
